INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – Donald L. Kyser, 94, formerly of Jonesport, passed away Oct. 28, 2011, at The Groves Retirement Community, Independence, Mo. Donald was born April 13, 1917, in Pittsburg, Kan., to B.F. and Gail (Jones) Kyser.
He was a lifelong member of Community of Christ and served as missionary for the church in Maine from 1954 to 1962. Donald and Hazelmarie Guinnee were married from 1936 until her death in 2004.
Survivors are his daughter, Donna Allen of Machiasport; son, Robert and wife, Diane Kyser, of Independence, Mo.; brother, Ben and wife, Alyce Kyser, of Grain Valley, Mo.; sister, Kay Kyser of Orange Park, Fla.; two grandsons and two great-grandsons.
