NASHUA, N.H. – Cecelia (Haskell) Kranmas, 93, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare, Nashua, N.H. She was born April 21, 1918, in Bar Harbor, daughter of Cecil Hodsdon and Henrietta Mosley Hodsdon.
She was the wife of Anthony Paul Kranmas. She worked at Bath and South Portland shipyards during World War II as a welder. Most of her life she worked as a machinist at Pratt & Whitney aircraft, East Hartford, Conn. After her retirement she lived in New Port Richey, Fla., for 22 years before returning to New Hampshire in 2003. She loved her family and friends, and being a prankster. Her nickname at Greenbriar was “Sassy” and they lovingly called her “Mama.”
She was predeceased by three sons, Gary, Bruce and Raymond Kranmas. She is survived by one son, Cecil “Sonny” Kranmas of East Hartford, Conn.; one daughter, Patricia Kranmas Ladner of Brookline, N.H.; and a multitude of grandsons and granddaughters, as well as great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Milford United Methodist Church, Milford, N.H., with Pastor Tom Getchell-Lacey officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend.
