CLINTON, N.Y. – Lee Page Kreinheder, 102, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at her home. She was born May 10, 1909, in Burlington, daughter of Rufus A. Page and Nina L. Bean.
She graduated from The Sargent School and Boston University. Lee taught in private and public schools for 10 years before joining the faculty of Ithaca College in 1939. On Nov. 20, 1941, she married John H. Kreinheder in Detroit, Mich. John died July 6, 1981. Lee served on the boards of a number of organizations, including The Chamber Music Society of Utica, Friends of Root Glen, Planned Parenthood and A Better Chance of Clinton. She was also a member of St. James Episcopal Church, The Monday Club, Clinton Garden Club, Whist Club and the United States Croquet Association. She was active in League of Women Voters since 1945 and later served as an officer of the Overseas Education Fund, Washington, D.C.
Lee is survived by several nieces and nephews, and a host of devoted friends.
