CASWELL – Leona L. Laforge, 91, died Nov. 9, 2011, at a Van Buren health care facility. She was born Sept. 26, 1920, in Caswell, daughter of Alex and Flavie (Lavoie) King.
She is survived by two sons, Alphonse Laforge and wife, Elaine, of Bath, N.Y., and Daniel Laforge and wife, Suzanne, of Augusta; six daughters, Lucille Lavoie and husband, Shanel, of Livermore, Theresa McCormack of Oakland, Joan Bernier and husband, Chanel, of Caswell, Barbara Cote and husband, Thomas, of Bernardstown, Mass., Annette Quint and husband, Cyril, of Lewiston, and Doreen Beaulieu and husband, Paul, of Limestone; two sisters, Eva Willette of Limestone and Irene Levesque of Bristol, Conn.; 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas; and her grandson, Thomas.
Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10:15 a.m. Saturday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
