CANAAN, Conn. – Olga Sinexon Brigham, 76, passed away Nov. 15, 2011, at home. She was born Sept. 25, 1935, in Philadelphia, to Justus and Sara Ethel Sinexon.

She married Theodore F. Brigham, in 1957. They lived in New Jersey, Massachusetts and Maine before settling in Wilton, N.H., in 1984. A graduate of Rutgers and University of Maine, she taught school for many years in Dover-Foxcroft and Guilford, as well as New Ipswich, N.H., and Peterborough, N.H. She summered at Onawa Lake in central Maine for more than 50 years. Olga was always an avid reader and after her retirement in 1994, she volunteered at Wilton Public & Gregg Free Library, where she was made a trustee. Her interest in quilting and genealogy filled up many satisfying hours and brought her in contact with many interesting people. Of particular note was research that she provided for a book documenting Sinexon genealogy.

Olga was predeceased by husband, Theodore, in 2009. Survivors include her children, Elizabeth and her spouse, Ron Schmidt, of Idaho, and David and his spouse, Maggie Brigham, of Massachusetts; granddaughters, Cristen, Denise and Katie; sisters, Frona Avery and Sara Gual of New Hampshire; several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held next summer at Onawa Lake. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Wilton Public & Gregg Free Library, P.O. Box 420, Wilton, NH 03086.
