PORTLAND, Maine — A spat over two tents being too close to one another at the OccupyMaine encampment led to the arrest of a transient, Portland police Lt. Gary Rogers said.

Rogers said that an officer was driving past the Lincoln Park encampment at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday and he witnessed a male and female arguing.

The male attempted to walk away, Rogers said, but the woman, Donna Summers, 46, followed him and tried to jump on his back, according to Rogers.

Rogers said that Summers was upset that the man had set up his tent too close to hers. The pair was split up and Summers was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

The man was not injured, Rogers said.
