BANGOR – Arlen Ray Lewis, “Louie,” 66, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at his home. He was born June 9, 1945, in Bangor, the son of John and Arlene Lewis.
Louie grew up in Bangor and attended local schools. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1962 and served in Germany. Louie enjoyed a career as a masonry contractor. He loved helping others, gathering with his friends at Judy’s and spending time with his Jack Russell terrier, Max.
Louie is survived by his loving companion, Norma Robertson; her son, Ronald Robertson and his wife, Stacy, and their son, Nicolas; five children, Arlen, Cheryl, Jamie, Jessica and Jason; sisters, Dian Bailey and her husband, Lee, of Newburgh, Ellen Martin and her husband, Doug, of Glenburn and Ann Baysdon of Jacksonville, N.C.; 11 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Louie was predeceased by his sister, Joan; and brothers-in-law, William Gibason and Dale Baysdon.
A private interment will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
