BANGOR – Anne (Woodman) Cox, 86, died Nov. 29, 2011, at her home. She was born Oct. 20, 1925, in Bangor, daughter of Frederick M. and Anastasia (Scribner) Woodman.

Anne was a graduate of Bangor High School and Boston University.

Surviving are four children, James F. Cox and his wife, Suzanne, of Bangor, Evan R. Cox of Waltham, Mass., Mary Muca and her husband, Ilmi, of Portland, and Christine Szewczyk and her husband, David, of Bangor; 11 grandchildren, Kathryn, Caroline, James IV, John, Gulia, Ariana, Anastasia, Andrew, Anne, John and Thomas; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, John F. Woodman and Frederick M. Woodman.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor. Interment will be in the family lot at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the services Monday at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
