LINCOLN – Donald Eugene Dicker Sr., 79, husband of Waneta (Milner) Dicker, passed away Nov. 30, 2011, at a Lincoln health care facility. He was born Jan. 22, 1932, in Lincoln, son of Fred Eugene and Bessie Adele (Smith) Dicker.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Don owned and operated Dicker’s Auto Body and Wrecker Service for many years. He was a member of First Congregational Church of Lincoln for 55 years, where he was a life deacon. He liked the Red Sox and Patriots, and golf. He enjoyed going to camp, fishing off the dock with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Waneta, he is survived by four children, Diana Hill and her fiance, Jerry Jipson, Donnie and Barbie Dicker, Bobby and Rachel Dicker, all of Lincoln, and Barry Dicker of Bangor; grandchildren, Rusty and Amanda Dicker of Millinocket, Dan and Nikki Dicker of Fort Bragg, N.C., David Dicker and fiancee, Stephany, of Bangor, B.J. and Billie Dicker of Lincoln, Jesse Dicker of Lincoln, Alex and Mallory Hill of Bangor, Heather and Joana Hill of Lincoln, Lauren Dicker and Brian Wilbur of Bangor; great-grandchildren, Olivia Dicker, Gavin Hill, Bryce Dicker, Taylor, Cameron and Anakin Dicker; two sisters, Charlotte Conard of Riverview, Fla., and Dorothy Albert and George of Lincoln; several nieces and nephews. Special family friends are Joe and Patrice Hill of Bartlett, Tenn. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Clifford.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Michael Robinson officiating.
