BRADLEY – Paul R. Gallant, 75, died Nov. 30, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Oct. 23, 1936, in Bradley, son of Andrew and Adelaide (Moreau) Gallant.
Paul worked for the University of Maine for many years and then became the proud owner of Spencer’s Ice Cream store for 15 years. He was also a member of Father Gruillette Council 2537 Knights of Columbus, Old Town.
Paul is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ramona; seven children, Terri Gallant and partner, Bill Ballah, Tim Gallant and his wife, Carrie, Tammy Runnells and husband, Kenny, Cindy Meservey and husband, Robert “Hodgie,” Andrea Gifford and husband, Eric, Lisa Gallant and partner, Eric Wood, and Andrew Gallant and wife, Athena; 13 grandchildren, Paul Gallant, Shaun Gallant, Katelyn Meservey, Kenny Runnells Jr., Wade Runnells, Rebecca Gifford, Miranda Gifford, Sara Gifford, Zackary Gallant, Kahia Maheux, Katie Wood, Jordan Wood and Victoria Wood; one great-grandchild, Logan Meservey; three sisters, Theresa Cote, Vivian Henderson and Valerie Buchanan; and sister-in-law, Joanne Gallant. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by two brothers, Andrew Gallant and wife, Edna, and Leon Gallant; sister, Lucy Trembley and husband, Arthur; and three brothers-in-law, Dennis Cote, Frank Henderson and Paul Buchanan.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at St. Ann’s Church, Bradley. All are invited to a light luncheon after the service in the parish hall.
