Bill and I worked for Cole’s Express in Houlton and Presque Isle for 17 years. We then moved to Detroit, Mich., and worked for four years during World War II. After the war, we came back to Mars Hill and worked five more years at Cole’s, before moving to Palm Beach, Fla. I always worked and had many fine jobs. In 1967, I married Vince Graves, who predeceased me in 2006, and we built a home at the base of Mars Hill Mountain, where we spent 25 wonderful years, enjoying the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
