BREWER – Ernest and Jeanne (Permar) Hardin died unexpectedly Dec. 1, 2011, at their home. Ernest retired from the military and Jeanne from civil service.
After retirement they made the decision to move from California to Brewer. During the winter months they spent time with their daughter in California. They both were very active in Eastern Star, Masonic bodies, Shrine and Elks Club.
They are survived by their daughter, Paige Hardin of Long Beach, Calif.; two sons, Jeff and Scott Snyder of Maine and Maryland; two brothers, Fred Hardin and his wife, Carole, of Orrington, and Robert Permar and his wife, Carol, of Morgantown, W.Va.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service of remembrance will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at First United Methodist Church, 14 Center Drive, Orrington, with the Rev. Brenda Leclerc, pastor, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the church after the service.
