MILO – Rose Irene Mudgett, God’s smiling angel for 58 years, passed away Dec. 8, 2011, at a Brewer nursing home. She was born Aug. 14, 1953, in Dover-Foxcroft, daughter of Vernon F. Sr. and Jeanette (Stanchfield) Mudgett.

Rose was a past board member for Charlotte White Center and had attended the Charlotte White Center Day Program for several years. Rose’s interests included listening to late ’60s and ’70s music, and watching her favorite television shows: “Charm,” “The Waltons” and “Little House on the Prairie.” She especially enjoyed frequent trips to libraries and often would be seen walking to Milo Library.

Rose was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by two sisters, Theresa Mudgett of Milo and Vernette Morton of Farmington; a brother, Vernon Mudgett of Milo; two nieces, Paula Thody and husband, Chris, of Athens and Kelly Morton of St. Albans; a nephew, Albert Brady Farmer of Farmington; three great-nieces, Tricia, Becki and Mikayla Thody, all of Athens; an aunt, Lynette Pete of Alton; and several cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, at Park Street United Methodist Church, Milo, with the Rev. Michele St. Cyr officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. Arrangements are in the care of Lary Funeral Home, Milo. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at
