COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Yvette Marie Blair, 91, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011. She was born Yvette Marie Ouellette in Fort Kent, daughter of the late Johnny and Rosanna (Berube) Ouellette.

Yvette was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend to the lives she touched. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Colorado Springs Senior Center and very active in the senior community. She enjoyed dancing, country music, collecting and her pets. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Smith and husband, Norman, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; son, Rene Thibodeau Jr. and wife, Patricia, of East Windsor, Conn.; sisters, Carmen Rioux and Cora Levesque of Fort Kent; sister-in-law, Mamie Ouellette; and her special friend, Frank Sotomayor of Colorado Springs, Colo. Yvette had seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1830 South Corona Ave., Colorado Springs, Colo. A private family inurnment was afterward at Evergreen Cemetery. Yvette was involved with many people in her life and we all now celebrate her dancing freely in heaven.
