DEER ISLE – Edith E. Judkins, 91, died Dec. 9, 2011, at an Ellsworth health care facility. She was born Sept. 14, 1920, in Pittston, the daughter of James and Madelyn S. (Carter) Lawrence.
Edith worked for The Jackson Laboratory, Bar Harbor, for 10 years. She also worked for many summers at Wonder View Inn, Bar Harbor.
She is survived by two sons, Wilbur Lilly of Skowhegan and Carroll Lilly of Trenton; two daughters, Avis Stanley of Bar Harbor and Madelyn Chapman of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Calvin Lawrence of Pittston; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
