WEST ENFIELD – Lawrence “Smokey” Raymond, 81, husband of the late Hazel (Fitzgerald) Raymond, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 9, 2011, in Wesley. He was born April 18, 1930, in Perham, the son of Clarence and Leanna (Lechance) Raymond.
Smokey loved being in the woods, riding his ATV and camping. He loved spending time with his family. He particularly liked country western music, going to the music jams and dancing.
He is survived by five children, Albert and Belinda Raymond of Kingman, Estelle and Herb Linscott of Lincoln, Terry and Paula Raymond of Lee, Cheryl and Lloyd Boyce of Macwahoc, and Garnet and Brenda Raymond of Lee; his “honey,” Dot; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, four great-stepgrandchildren, several siblings, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at West Enfield Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Robinson officiating. Those who wish may sign an online register and leave written condolences at
