DOVER-FOXCROFT – Marilyn Francena Harvey, 85, wife of the late Raymond G. Harvey, passed away Dec. 11, 2011, at Dexter Health Care. She was born Nov. 2, 1926, in Skowhegan, daughter of Walter and Flora Mabel (Pratt) Curtis.

Marilyn spent her childhood years in Wellington and moved to Dover-Foxcroft for her high school years, graduating from Foxcroft Academy. She taught school in Wellington and Parkman. Marilyn also worked as a nurse’s aide at Mayo Memorial Hospital. On Oct. 20, 1956, Marilyn married Raymond G. Harvey. They made their home in Dover-Foxcroft, where she helped him with his farm equipment business for many years. Marilyn was a member of United Baptist Church, Dover-Foxcroft; Valley Grange; Piscataquis Pomona Grange; National Grange and Maine State Grange, where she was a past deputy.

Marilyn was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Raymond; parents; an infant sister; and a special cousin, Amber Bridge.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with the Rev. Rudy Homchuck officiating. Burial will be at Gray Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft.
