HAMPDEN, Maine — A Winterport woman was taken to jail after Hampden police received a complaint late Monday night about a person lying on the ground near the intersection of Main Road North and Coldbrook Road.
“We had a conversation with her,” Hampden police Sgt. Christian Bailey said Tuesday night of 19-year-old Nicole Rawles.
“She told us she lives in Winterport and had been out walking around,” he said. When police ran a check in their database, they learned that Rawles was wanted on a warrant out of Penobscot County and arrested her.
Rawles, who was taken to Penobscot County Jail, was released on bail after a court appearance Wednesday at the Penobscot Judical Center.
