PORTLAND, Maine — Police made another arrest at the OccupyMaine encampment Tuesday night, this time for domestic violence assault.

Brittany Newell, an 18-year-old transient, was arrested when she allegedly tried to bite her boyfriend on the wrist, Portland police Lt. Gary Rogers said Wednesday.

Newell was arrested and charged with the domestic violence assault.

While authorities were investigating Newell’s case, John Mutero, 34, was issued a criminal threatening summons after he reportedly threatened to kill Newell’s boyfriend if he notified police.

Rogers said Mutero received a criminal trespass warning, meaning he must vacate Lincoln Park before Wednesday night.
