NORRIDGEWOCK, Maine — A search warrant Thursday afternoon led to a drug bust for the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office and the arrest of a North Anson woman, according to police.
Lt. Carl Gottardi of the Sheriff’s Office said authorities executed a search warrant on the person and motor vehicle of Jill Berryman, 45, of North Anson on U.S. Route 2 in Norridgewock.
When police searched Berryman’s vehicle, they seized 17 bags of heroin, oxycodone pills and drug-related paraphernalia, Gottardi said.
“This has been an ongoing, several-month-long investigation into Berryman allegedly selling drugs in the Somerset County area,” Gottardi said.
Berryman was arrested and charged with trafficking in a Schedule W drug and two counts of possession of a Schedule W drug. She is being held at Somerset County Jail in Madison on $10,000 cash bail. Her first court appearance is Feb. 8.
