BANGOR, Maine — Crews from Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. were working to restore power in Washington County on Wednesday morning after strong winds brought down power lines, trees and branches overnight.

Most of the outages were confined to Lubec, Trescott, Whiting and other coastal communities, according to a Bangor Hydro press release.

Crews were working to restore service throughout the morning but continued strong winds may hamper those efforts, Bangor Hydro said.
