JONESBORO – Danny W. Reynolds, 56, passed away Dec. 26, 2011, surrounded by his loving family at a Bangor hospital after a short illness. He was born April 13, 1955, in Machias, son of Alton and Hazel (Davis) Reynolds.

He was a lifelong resident of Jonesboro and graduated from Machias Memorial High School in 1973. He held many jobs in his life, including working for the town of Jonesboro and spent more than 20 years as motor route carrier for Bangor Daily News. Danny had a great work ethic, enjoyed his home and his family, and his greatest joy was “Gramp’s Girl,” Lola Hazel. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He leaves his wife of 36 years, Ellen (Wood) Reynolds; daughter, Jennifer and her husband, Gary Smith; son, Benjamin Reynolds; granddaughter, Lola Hazel Smith, all of Machiasport; brother, Michael Reynolds; sister, Sheila and her husband, John Mallar; sister-in-law, Jeanne and Randy Day of Jonesboro; brother-in-law, David Wood; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gerald and Judy Wood, all of Machiasport; many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents; and brother, Mitchell Reynolds.

A service of remembrance will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery, Jonesboro, to be announced at a later date. Those who wish may make donations in Danny’s memory to Beth C. Wright Cancer Center, P.O.
