BANGOR – Warden E. “Bucky” Buck, 85 passed peacefully Dec. 31, 2011, in the presence of family, at a local health care facility. He was born Sept. 19, 1926, in Monticello, into the loving arms of Leola Harris Buck and Everett A. Buck.
Warden spent his childhood in Millinocket, later moving to the Bangor area, where he met his wife of 60 years Charlotte L. Tripaldi. Charlotte predeceased Warden in 2005. Warden worked at Eastern Fine Paper, Brewer, eventually becoming a mechanic at Beacon Cadillac Olds and Jeep, Bangor, until he retired in 1991. Warden was a devoted member of Jehovah’s Witnesses spending hours in study, worship and spreading the news of Jehovah’s Word by witnessing and by example.
He blessed the lives of his children, Vivian Pratt and her husband, David, of Ashford, Conn., Richard Buck of Fort Myers, Fla., Marion Hatt and her husband, Robert, of Eddington, Alton Buck and his wife, Robin, of Brewer, Rosalie Kenney and her husband, Michael, of Etna, and Maydelle Lucas and her husband, Jeffrey, of Glenmoore, Pa. Warden also blessed the lives of 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss him deeply. Warden was predeceased by one daughter, Gloria Buck; one son, Ivan E. Buck Sr.; his wife, Charlotte; one sister, Doris Buck; and one brother, Ivan Buck. Bucky’s family sends a very special thank you to all the employees of Westgate Manor for the tender, loving care of Warden and his family during his stay there.
Friends and family are invited to share in a celebration of Warden’s life at a memorial service 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2029 Broadway, Bangor. Conversation and refreshments will be held immediately after the service at The Family Reception Center of Brooking-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
