LUBEC – Winthrop W. Blake, 96, passed away Jan. 2, 2012, at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, Virginia Beach, Va. He was born March 28, 1915, in Hallowell, the son of Benjamin and Margaret Blake.
He was a master carpenter and held a master plumbers license up until his passing.
He is survived by one son, Edwin; one sister, Virginia; four brothers William, Roger, Richard and Herbert; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline.
Winthrop will be cremated in Virginia and laid to rest in Lubec with Pauline.
