OLD TOWN, Maine — A local man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant now is facing a felony drug possession charge.
David Eaton Jr., 36, was a passenger in a vehicle last Thursday afternoon when he was spotted by Old Town police Officer Brent Fournier, Old Town police Sgt. Scott Casey said Monday, citing a police report.
Fournier, who recognized Eaton as someone who was wanted for failure to appear, pulled the car over to arrest him, Casey said.
While patting Eaton down, Fournier found eight pills on his person, Casey said. Because Eaton did not have the required prescription, he was charged with illegal possession of a scheduled drug. The Class B felony carries a penalty of up to 10 years in jail, a fine of up to $20,000 or both.
It was not immediately clear Monday what kind of pills were in Eaton’s possession, Casey said.
After his arrest, Eaton was taken to Penobscot County Jail in Bangor, Casey said. He since has been released on bail.

Outstanding Warrant — felony drug charges — let back out on bail??? Boy, I bet he’s scared and won’t ever do it again.

Hint: Replace “mulberry bush” with “justice system”.
didnt they go to school together? Dont do crime and hang out or live in your home town dummy. It all seems a big wast of time and paper. I bet Brent had to fil out paperwork longer than Dave was in Jail! LMAO
