NEWPORT – Eveleine Ludden, 86, went to be with the Lord, Jan. 9, 2012. She was born May 15, 1925, in Castle Hill, a daughter of Fred and Mary (Hume) Braley.

After moving to Plymouth with her family Eveleine attended the old Newport High School. She married Ken Ludden, who predeceased her, June 28, 2005. Eveleine was a longtime member of Jubilee Family Worship Center, Newport Full Gospel Church, and worked for Bob Raymond and Ray Smith at the Log Cabin Diner. She enjoyed going to Florida, boating, motorcycling and traveling in general.

She is survived by three sons, Royce and Shirley of Palmyra, Glenn and Patty of Greenville, Brett and Janice of Pittsfield; a sister, Phyllis Bean of Newport; seven grandchildren, Michele, Daneille, Sean, Carie, Dustan, Kendra and Seth; 13 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Jubilee Family Worship Center, 163 Elm St., Newport, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, with Associate Pastor Brian Woodbury and the Rev. Scott Black officiating. Spring burial will be at Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth. Memorial donations may be made to the church at P.O. Box 189, Newport, ME 04953.
