WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Mary E. O’Donnell “Gram,” 98, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at Charles W. Gerstenberg Hospice Center, West Palm Beach, Fla. She was born in 1913, in Brewer, daughter of Kate Lanigan Jamieson and Jack Jamieson.
Mary grew up in Maine, and met and married the love of her life, Raymond Michael O’Donnell “Ray,” in 1933. Together, she and her husband raised a family in Maine, and then moved to West Palm Beach, Fla., in the 1950s. Mary and her husband started Ray O’Donnell, Interiors in 1953, in West Palm Beach, Fla. Mary was a part of the daily operations for the entire time up until they closed in 2008. Mary was an avid angler with her husband, Ray, spending much time in the Bahamas on the Chaos IV. She was a past member of Sailfish Club of Palm Beach, Fla. Most of all, Mary enjoyed sharing time with her family during the summers in Maine, spending time at Beach Hill Pond, and then Eddington Pond at the family camp, and winters in Florida.
Survivors include her daughter, Maryanne O’Donnell of West Palm Beach, Fla.; her son, Clifford O’Donnell “Cliff” of Palm City, Fla.; one daughter-in-law, Paula O’Donnell of Palm City, Fla.; one granddaughter, Paige O’Donnell of Palm City, Fla.; one grandson, R.
