PORTLAND, Maine — Portland police are looking for an armed man who robbed a city credit union.

Police say the man entered the University Credit Union just after 4 p.m. on Thursday with a gun, demanded cash from a teller, and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

There were several customers and employees inside at the time, but no one was hurt.

The thief was described as a white male wearing a dark South Pole sweat shirt with the hood up. He also appeared to be wearing a ski mask.

Police are investigating whether the credit union robbery is connected to a convenience store robbery Wednesday.

It’s the second time the credit union has been robbed in the past month. Two teenage boys were arrested in connection with a Dec. 21 robbery.

  1. sounds connected.  These Banks need to get better cameras.  I have cameras all through my office and house and they are great.  Real cheap price too. i can even watch them off my phone

    1. Pretty sad anyone can get a camera system much better then what banks and credit unions have and probably pay a heck of a lot less then they did.

      1. Paid less than a hundred dollars for the system.  Retail value was over $1500.oo it was on sale for 12 months and its mine to keep
