Texas Gov. Rick Perry on Sunday defended the four Marines who were depicted in a video last week urinating on the corpses of three Taliban insurgents, arguing “what’s really disturbing to me is just, kind of, the over-the-top rhetoric from this administration and their disdain for the military.”
“Obviously, 18-, 19-year-old kids make stupid mistakes all too often, and that’s what’s occurred here,” the Republican presidential candidate told Candy Crowley on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “But, you know, when you’re in war, and history kind of backs (this) up — there’s a picture of General Patton doing basically the same thing in the Rhine River. And although there’s not a picture, Churchill did the same thing on the Siegfried Line.”
A 1945 photo appears to show Gen. George Patton urinating into the Rhine River in full view of his soldiers. And Winston Churchill, too, is reported to have urinated on the Siegfried Line, the German World War II defensive line. But neither man was known to have urinated on human corpses.
U.S. law and the Geneva Conventions forbid the desecration of dead bodies.
“I mean, these kids made a mistake, there’s not any doubt about it,” Perry said. “They shouldn’t have done it. It’s bad. But to call it a criminal act, I think, is over the top.”
Republican Sen. John McCain did not object to the way the issue has been handled, according to Slate.com. “A full and complete investigation is entirely appropriate,” he said. No one has been charged in the case, but an investigation is being carried out.

Anyone seriously surprised? Wasn’t it Limbaugh who excused the soldiers who created human pyramids out of naked prisoners as Abu Graihb as nothing more than good natured pranks, on the level of snapping towels in a locker room… If you have to try to explain to someone why urinating on a corpse is wrong, it’s probably not worth your time, they’re too far gone to worry about…
To say Perry “defended” them is over the top – really misleading but what I would expect of this liberal paper. Stupid kids – young kids in the military do a lot of dumb crap, take their rank or forfeight their pay – but don’t send them to military prison. Keep in mind though that this is the same White House that is calling Major Hassan’s Ford Hood massacre “workplace violence” even though he had direct links to Al Queda. Every possible attempt is made to attack our troops while ignoring the reality that Islamic terrorism is very real. Liberals really are two faced. They turn a blind eye to the evil of groups they sympathize with but are quick to target the military.
Which liberal newspaper are you talking about? The Washington Post?
To say Perry defended them is what happened. Some Conservatives see the reason this is horrific, but some, like you and Rick Perry have a knee jerk reaction of saying it is o.k. Perry even goes so far as to link the outrage to this administration, which shows how little he understands. I’d wager that he is even dimmer than the last good ol’ boy we had as prez from TX.
The reason McCain knows what he is talking about is that he walked the walk. If you excuse anything our military does because the other side is worse, what standard are we using? There is a reason we have commanding officers in our military, to enforce discipline. We don’t have a military that just runs amok, although we do have individuals who are in the military who do.
There is a movie made about what happens when an undisciplined force captures American soldiers. It is called “Black Hawk Down”. I remember how I felt when the real incident happened. I remember the images of our soldiers tied to vehicles and dragged through the streets of Mogadishu. The lifeless, almost naked bodies of our boys were shown to the whole world and it made me sick.
So why would it be o.k. for one side to pee on dead soldiers? How would you feel if it was American corpses and Taliban pee-ers?

Do you have ANY idea what the Taliban does to our soldiers if they capture them?
Have you ever seen someone’s head sawed off with a knife? What happens to a corpse doesn’t really matter, it is what happens to the living person that means something.
As for how Americans would feel if it was our soldiers getting urinated on, let’s see…
1. People like me would be upset and expect our soldiers to find them, cut them into tiny little pieces, cover them with bacon and leave them for the vultures.
2. People like you would be excusing the taliban and denegrating their own soldiers and having caused the situation… kinda like you are now.
“Do you have ANY idea what the Taliban does to our soldiers if they capture them?”
-I’d do the same thing to anyone who invaded my homeland, bombed and killed woman and children.
“1. People like me would be upset and expect our soldiers to find them,
cut them into tiny little pieces, cover them with bacon and leave them
for the vultures.”
-Seething hate. You should stop swallowing everything Sean Hannity puts in your mouth. This attitude is exactly why the entire world hates America. We think we can just conquer the world and “spread democracy” without consequence. Bombing and killing innocent people in some never ending ambiguous quest against “terror”.
Wake up and see that America is not the guiding light. America is the terrorist. Your hate for a religion based upon nothing but built up rhetoric from the war profiteers all eaten up by mindless Americans who cannot think for themselves. Did you know these men? Doesn’t matter does it? The media says they were Taliban and so you must hate them. Pathetic. It’s so easy to stir up the masses.
The only entity that has ever terrorized me or stolen my freedoms is the U.S. Government. They are the real terrorists.
Thank a terrorist in service of the US Government for your right to post what you have.
Funny thing is, that statement is totally true. From the British point of view, the Founding Father’s were all terrorists, and as they are the one’s who wrote the Constitution giving us the right to free speech…
I hope you take my meaning, I responded to a poster who is calling our soldiers terrorists and describes them as being worth contempt. My point is that those terrorists soldiers in employ of our horrible government the poster writes about are actually protecting their right to post whatever the want to in forums like this.
“actually protecting their right to post whatever the want to in forums like this.”
-That is complete rubbish. Protecting from who? The only entity that has ever threatened my freedom is my own government. Look around. America is not even close to being a free country so how is it U.S. soldiers are fighting for my freedom??? Must be hard to see past your own nose.
Try living in a country in which 30000 people went missing when they expressed opposition to how their country was being run by the government at that time. Come to where I am and watch people gather in the city square with pictures of their sons and daughters from thirty years ago carrying signs that say punish the oppressors and where is my son? Try watching the news and finding out that mass graves have been found in which contain the bodies of people believed to have been murdered by the military government and wonder if perhaps finally you will know what happened to your lost family member.
The fact that you can even be on this forum is due to the sacrifice of an American who picked up arms and struggled for a freedom that was at that time unknown.
Try going to Venezuela, or North Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia or perhaps even Russia and see how far you get with your free radicalism there.
Your very brave to be bashing you own country in an open forum like this one.
This country gives you the freedom to spew you stupid juvenile verbal puke.
One country’s freedom fighter is another country’s terrorist. War is terror. Sometimes terror seems necessary, BUT war is always a human failure.
How absurd. That is nothing but a mindless cliche’. There isn’t one soldier fighting for American freedom. In fact American freedoms and civil liberties continue to be eroded every year. Anyone with a single brain cell can see that.
You must be very brave to keep posting. After all, according to you the facists government agents of the FBI and our serial killer Armed Forces members are watching your every move and only waiting for the right time to take you away to a Concentration Camp.
SalArg, Don’t waste your time sinking to the level of “afreeradical”. Just reading a couple of his posts it’s obvious he’s one of those that badmouths America and yet has probably never done a thing for his country. His type are a dime a dozen. They use the God given rights America has assured us to complain that he’s not free. You couldn’t prompt people like that to leave the USA if you paid for their ticket. Invite him to stand in front of just one of those Marines and spout his mindless crap. He’ll clam up like the coward he is.
Did you read what I wrote? Where do you see me defending the Taliban? All I can read from your post is that the Taliban are horrible people and we can be just like them too.
You, sir, are not even playing with a full deck if you think I defend the Taliban. And you are a scoundrel for implying that I am denigrating our soldiers. You seem to think that anything Americans do is godly and we are the only good force in the world. Grow up and learn.
Again, can you show me where I defend the Taliban? You post lies and think you can fool everybody. Wrong. your lies are still lies.
1. What a waste of bacon, if you are going to do that, send it to me, i love bacon. Our service men and women are better than that. Yes, it is sometimes their job to kill an enemy, but it is not their job to denigrate that enemy. What our enemies to to our soldiers is often times horrendous, but we can not stoop to that level. As we believe in human rights, those rights extend to all humans, not just the ones that we like. Once an enemy has been killed, whatever debt they owe has been paid in full.
2. No one is excusing the Taliban for what they have done to our soldiers, but sometimes being the good guy means treating others (be it living or dead) better than they treat you.
the marines should be given medals not reprimanded.
you are obviously not a Marine then.
….
I don’t see anything abnormal,
politicians do it to our soldiers every day!
Great comment and unfortunately so true!
Best comment here!
Yes the Christians have a great track record for keeping things civil.
First, Sal didn’t say anything about christians, you’re projecting and whining
Second, the stuff people like you are referencing happened hundreds of years ago.
Lastly, get a grip on reality.
Although I agree with much of what you say, “Christians” have a recent track-record which is less kind than what Jesus suggested. The Irish (be they protestant or Catholic) are christian, and less than 100 years ago they were blowing each other up.
Catholic priests are christian, but that doesn’t seem to stop a significant number of them from abusing children.
Mormons are christian, but it hasn’t been 100 years since they had to rectify their bible to move people of color from the negative status they previously assigned.
No they dont, and neither do Muslims.
I wonder what the reaction would have been if the situation was reversed.Turn these kids into killers and then put them in jail for doing just that.Bring these soldiers home and you won’t have these problems.
The only headline here is that Perry is still in the race.
I will be shocked when this liberal rag skews a story about Obama to make him look bad. Although, it wouldn’t take much to make him look bad. Just need to tell the truth about his “promises for change” that never happened, his waste of trillions of tax payer dollars, and his claiming credit for actions he didn’t do.
Don’t forget, the person that took the video should be treated just the same as the others. What in the world would have happened if we had these cell phones back in the Veitnam war? Suppose there would be even more controversy?
When people are trying to kill you, you tend to lose respect for them.
For you to downgrade those soldiers (when you stoop lower in your postings) is the epitome of hypocracy.
You say, “When people are trying to kill you, you tend to lose respect for them.” I say, “And in that very moment, if you lack the moral and intellectual ability to do so you become them.”
Yes I’m a real low stooper??? Let me ask you Jonathan, how often have you actually had your comments here deleted for offensive (Usually personal…like you’ve done again here) reasons? I don’t know many folks who post here who can compete with you there.
You’re welcome to dislike my political positions. You’re welcome to be in favor of your military peeing on our enemy’s corpses. You’re even welcome to back any political party (GOP/Tea Party or political leader Rick Perry) who supports such thinking.
However, if you don’t wish to be deleted repeatedly you might consider attempting to stay away from personal attacks and trying to stay on topic. I Hope this helps you to choose your words and sides more wisely in the future young Grasshopper.
Do you find it a bit odd that we both have the most popular posts about this subject and we have both been flagged for expressing our opinions about it. I found nothing in the least bit offensive in your post and if I cant post my opinion then I guess we perhaps truly living under some sort of Taliban like rule.
Many comments defend or endorse this unfortunate conduct as a prank or an action that the Taliban dead deserved. Try telling that to the parents or wife of the next GI whose body is paraded down a street or hung from a highway overpass in some distant land. If you justify despicable acts through a lens of quid pro quo you’ll get what you dish out in return. I feel that after a decade of worshipping at the Altar of Perpetual Warfare we all could use a break. Could we not take the personal out of the discussions and try to help each other understand a very complicated world?
I was a Marine Corps officer. What these men are alleged to have done is not in the tradition and discipline of the Corps. Some speak of the stress of combat as an excuse. Marine training is in part designed to make Marines able to deal with that stress and to be better than this behaviour. The enemy is the enemy but when he has been killed his body deserves to be treated as a fellow combatant. No need to like him, just remember that we did to him what he was trying to do to us. We were the lucky ones this time.
Good Post.
Thank you for your service.
Semper Fi brother.
I was a marine Corps officer. What these men are alleged to have done is not in keeping with the tradition and discipline of the Corps. Some say the stress of combat is to blame. Marine Corps training is in part designed to enable Marines to deal with that stress and not engage in this type of behaviour. The enemy is the enemy but when he has been killed or wounded he should be treated as a fellow combatant. We did to him only what he was trying to do to us. We were the lucky ones this time.
How is this different than when an American soldier’s body is dragged through the street and desecrated? Simple…it’s not. That kind of behavior adds fuel to anger and hatred, and when radical muslims behave that way people call them radical savages. That’s exactly what urinating of a dead person’s body is, too.
I imagine a Taliban supporter or Taliban fighter objects and is angered when things like this happen to his countrymen or comrades. I object and am angered when it happens to Americans, like Gary Gordon, an Army Ranger from Maine. I didnt care much for photos I have seen of American POWS beheaded by the Japanese.
I doubt anyone in the Taliban very much cares what happens to the corpses of dead American Servicemen. I dont care very much what happens to the corpses of dead Taliban members.
Although I’m pasting the below comment as a post, it pretty much says it all. As a Vietnam veteran who has walked in the shoes of these Marines I can attest they have two equally dangerous enemies. The Afganistan Taliban and American political correctness. Libsux
Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.), a former Army lieutenant colonel, commenting on
the Marines’ video“I have sat back and assessed the incident with the
video of our Marines urinating on Taliban corpses. I do not recall any
self-righteous indignation when our Delta snipers Shugart and Gordon had their
bodies dragged through Mogadishu. Neither… do I recall
media outrage and condemnation of our Blackwater security contractors being
killed, their bodies burned, and hung from a bridge in Fallujah.“All
these over-emotional pundits and armchair quarterbacks need to chill. Does
anyone remember the two Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division who were
beheaded and gutted in Iraq?“The Marines were wrong. Give them a maximum
punishment under field grade level Article 15 (non-judicial punishment), place a
General Officer level letter of reprimand in their personnel file, and have them
in full dress uniform stand before their Battalion, each personally apologize to
God, Country, and Corps videotaped and conclude by singing the full US Marine
Corps Hymn without a teleprompter.“As for everyone else, unless you have
been shot at by the Taliban, shut your mouth, war is hell.”
They deserve an Article 15 for their conduct and we need to move on from this. It is not a national tragedy.
Too bad they filmed it..LOL.. Next time they wont film it I bet….
War is barbaric, ugly, and probably can not be made to fit into the current P.C. climate. I criticize the folks who try to “civilize it” far more than I would ever criticize front line soldiers…no matter what they (allegedly) did.
I never thought I would agree with Rick Perry on any subject… Guess that just goes to show.
Thank you, you hit the nail on the head on this one.
Let me qualify, I think Rick Perry is a drunken idiot with narrow-minded ideology and I pray to my ultimate being that he not lead our nation. I know little of what he espouses as I quit listening to him within the first 90 seconds I heard him speak. I am an educated person, and this man insults my intelligence with his simplistic moronic rhetoric. Please run someone who can challenge the incumbent, or all of you go home so we can watch re-runs of the Sopranos as opposed to the “Dumb and Dumber” fest of candidates the Republican party is fielding. The only one with any promise was run out of town by the liberal media. I don’t care where and with whom they sleep with, I care about my nation going to hell in a hand-basket. Folks like Perry are doing more to re-elect the current CIC than the OBAMA campaign. BTW, I am a life-long member of the Republican party before you begin to bash my unbiased assessment of the current political clime.
So, onto something I do know about. I have been in combat. It is a nasty, vulgar, dirty business best left to the kids we send to do our bidding. We, as civilians cannot judge these young men by a mere photographic moment in time. It is very simple to pass judgement on individuals engaged in such actions from the safety and security these young Marines have created for us in the comfort of our nice warm homes, where we can shower regularly, eat warm food, surf the ‘net or even have a cup of coffee when we wish. These young men have foregone such niceties on our behalf. I personally do not know what these young men have experienced prior to this photograph/video, nor do I purport to . I do know that the enemy does not subscribe to the “morals” those of you who profess shock of these images do. I have witnessed the horrors of war. Men (and Woman) do terrible things to each other in the facilitation in combat, that is why it is not called playground time. I am not complaining, about my experiences. I state them so the reader can appreciate my world-view, or where I am coming from. I view my experience as a cost of living in the greatest nation on earth. My installment on the mortgage if you will. If they would let me, I would be serving now. Those days have long past.
I can tell you that urinating on the enemy is very mild in the scheme of
things compared to the atrocities the enemy has perpetrated. If these men are guilty of anything, it is stupidity. Posting on You-Tube these actions for the world to see will not gain entry to MENSA for any of them. I will state emphatically however, that anyone who stops these bastages from flying airplanes into buildings on American soil gets a pass from me. If you don’t like the way they conduct their business (our armed forces), move to Yemen, Afghanistan, Iran or Iraq and contact the Taliban and let them know you are an American and where you live.
maybe you would like to take their place over there and show us how. sometimes war makes good people do bad thngs judge not, and not be judged.
If I were young enough to qualify and if there were a call to duty I would do so with all the honor and respect instilled into my soul by my parents, my religious teachings, my schools, and my country. Thus I can assure you that I would not lower myself to the subhuman standards of my enemies by desecrating corpses found on the field of battle. As an American, I’ve been trained to be better than that. It does sadden me to see that others here have apparently not received the same training. That must be why we still find ourselves spending so much time arguing amongst ourselves.
Always easy to say what one would of done after the fact. Seems at one time you were young enough to answer that call to duty, which you did not. How dare you compare your socalled” training’ to be better than our soldiers who are fighting for your butt! This is a field of battle that is nothing like you read in your school books.
I’m still waiting for the alleged Bin Laden post mortem pics. Kinda strange how his body conveniently disappeared…
You are correct, damn American’s peed on him too, then revived him, now he lives in the zoo in DC..
Politicians:
Don’t pi$$ down our backs and tell us it’s raining….
Go home Rick!
Suspect in O.C. killings of homeless men is an Iraq war veteran
Former Marine Itzcoatl Ocampo, 23, of Yorba Linda appeared deeply troubled when he returned home and for a year had been telling relatives that he was seeing and hearing things, an uncle says.

A 23-year-old former Marine who some say was distraught after combat service in Iraq has been named a suspect in the serial killings of four homeless men in Orange County.

High School dropout manages to kill a couple hundred women and children while throwing in a occasional rape. Mr Sempi Fi has now been transformed into Mr serial killer.
Mr high school dropout/serial killer now begins to experience extreme depression from his actions. Mental Wealth workers call it Post Traumatic
Stress Syndrome. But the only people who experience traumatic stress in Iraq are the Iraqi women being raped by Semper Fi’s before they shot and killed them.
Good thing serial killer/high school dropout has never read the research

What this means for high school dropout is that he will be coming back
again for another life . Of course so will the people he murdered , so for practical purposes he has another couple hundred lives he has to live getting “wacked” by the life forms he semper fi’d.
The difference this time is the raped and murdered have had some time to ponder while they wait for him to pass over, how they will “do” Mr Semper Fi- the high school drop out serial killer.
Mr high school dropout comes back from Iraq out of work unless he re-enlists. There are not to many job openings for serial killers until he lands a job working with his be all you can be buddies at the Bangor police department or the FBI.
Three points 1) they were wrong to do it and will be charged and disciplined 2) they were stupid to film it 3) Perry is a dolt and proves it over and over.
The problem, I think, is less about what these guys did and more about the fact that they got caught doing it. Whether or not their actions were understandable, the really dumb thing they did was record the event.
When the video went public, the powers that be were left with only one decision, and that is condemnation. The world was watching Washington very closely on this one.
I think Perry’s choice of language that in any way publicly defends the marines in this case was not very smart. The US needs to take the high road here. Rules were broken and people need to be held accountable.
Only males apparently feel the need to ‘mark their territory’ by urinating on things and on dead bodies…. this is ridiculous and pathetic behavior…..something that DOGS do. Pffffffffft.
You obviously were never in the women’s restroom at the Ellsworth AMES. Jeez what a bunch of pigs!
Gee HarryIII and you were in the Ames woman’s restroom in Ellsworth?? As though Ames is the same as urinating on dead soldiers and taking pictures of such stupidity. Last time I checked consumers using the Ames’ rest rooms were not the armed services which represent this country…..but perhaps in your little mind they are the same….Pffffffft.
i have no words for how i feel about this. to disgrace the corpse of an enemy is below the standards of the USMC imho
What you have to remember is, from your point of view they are the enemy and deserve what they got, but from other perspectives this is an awful crime. History only distinguishes terrorist from hero based on who wins. There is an old tale of the “Wait-a-bit Inn.” It’s a purgatory of sorts for soldiers where combatants from both sides of a conflict drink together and wait to see if their cause was just enough to get them into heaven, now the place is gonna smell like pee. These men died fighting for what they believed in, just like our soldiers do. As for those “christian beheading Taliban scumbags” who do you think taught them that trick? More than one Musslim head rolled during the Crusades…
I doubt anyone in Afghanistan would be shedding a tear if an American Servicemans Corspe was urinated on. Im not shedding any tears over Taliban Corpses. If this was the year 1944 I wouldnt be shedding a tear for any dead corpses that came from the ranks of the Waffen SS or the Japanese Army either.
I don’t think people are shedding tears. It angers me that someone would stoop so low as to urinate on someone’s body. That is just discussting and wrong. And to have a governor back them up disgusts me even more.
My Grandfather very likely might have taken a leak on a Japanese Corpse. His brother very may well have shot and killed surrendering prison guards at Dachau. The fact that they may have done so doesnt bother me in the least.
Then you are just as disgusting and disrespectful as the Teenage soldiers who did this. Its gross and outright arogant. I dont see how people could feel honored to urinate on another person. Its gross no matter who it is and who they are urinating on.
Some people dont deserve to be treated like humans.
I just get a kick out of the comments from the draft dodgers of the past…. You get your butts out there and go through what some of these men an women have, easy to judge when you are sitting back watching Opra.
Yo, Doc, great to see your tax dime at work for Exxon Mobil, eh?

Fourteen-year-old Abeer Qassim Hamza al-Janabi’s home in Iraq was a
sturdy farmhouse full of light in an isolated area but only a few
hundred yards from a U.S. traffic checkpoint [TCP.] After watching the
tall, modestly-dressed girl working in her family’s field, the five U.S.
101st Airborne soldiers became bold enough to barge into her home,
leering at Abeer in front of a family which was helpless to stop U.S.
troops in full gear. Off again to themselves, drinking whiskey which
they would later say they got from the Iraqi Army, the five U.S.
soldiers reasoned that the family would be easy to kill and that nothing
more substantial than her parents stood between them and Abeer. Sex was
incidental; they wanted to hurt Iraqis. All but one of them got out of
uniform, putting on the dark Army “ninja” outfits that the Army had
designed to keep them warm at night. Then they deserted their post,
maneuvering through backyards to burst into the house in black clothes
in full daylight.
While Specialist James Barker pinned a terrified Abeer down, Green
shoved her parents and six-year-old sister Hadeel at gunpoint into a
room with him and shut the door. As the mother Fakhriya Taha Muhasen and
the father Qassim Hamza Raheem huddled in a corner trying to shield
Hadeel, they could hear Abeer as Sargeant Paul Cortez raped her, and
Aber could hear her family as Green shot and killed her parents and
little sister with bursts from an AK47. He then re-entered the main room
where she was, threw the AK47 down, raped Abeer, and standing up from
doing it, put a pillow over her face and killed her with shotgun blasts.
The soldiers used kerosene to set the lower part of her dead body on
fire, and after they left, flames caught the house, bringing the
family’s relatives who saw the smoke then the bodies. They ran to the
U.S. checkpoint for help, but two of the killers who were among the U.S.
troops responding managed to blame the slaughter on “insurgents.”
Abeer’s two younger brothers, surviving because they had been at school,
came home to find their house burned, their family dead and blood and
brains all over the walls. The killers meanwhile celebrated with a
barbeque. Green bragged to anyone who would listen about what he had
done, including an officer. Yet Green, unpunished, was honorably
discharged with a diagnosis of “antisocial psychiatric disorder.”
Do you believe everything you read?
Fortunately I read and you don’t.
I guess the jury reads also and convicted Green to life in prison.

Did Itzcoatl Ocampo Allegedly Become a Serial Killer Because He’s a Marine, a Mexican, or an Aztec?
By Gustavo Arellano
Sun., Jan. 15 2012
Itzcoatl Ocampo, the 23-year-old Yorba Linda
man arrested for allegedly being the serial killer who targeted
homeless men in Orange County over the past month, is scheduled to
appear Tuesday in Orange County Superior Court to face charges,
but he’s already the poster boy for three groups of people that have
populated the comments section of local newspapers and media websites.
Each attribute his pathology to a specific Ocampo personal trait without
knowing jack shit about his mental makeup.
One group blames Ocampo’s psychosis on him having served in Iraq with the Marines, a point bolstered by Ocampo’s own relatives.
Apparently the jury did and sentenced Green to life in prison
Your posts seem to refer to deeds in which murder and rape of innocent civilians took place. What is being reported about in this article is something totally different. You may find the behavior of these servicemen abhorrent. However they did not rape or kill any civilians. They killed enemy combatants who were engaging them.
What is being reported by this war is we have a taxpayer funded workfare program for
high school dropouts murdering and raping humans on behalf of the Military Industrial complex.
High School dropouts cannot join the military unless they take a GED and pass. A GED is considered the equivelent of recieving a diploma for graduating from high school. People with GEDs get into college so it stands they could get into the military.
The military industral complex card is a funny one. Dont you find it odd that Mr. Obama has allowed things to carry on in Afghanistan for three years.
Nope, I didn’t vote for chump change Obama. He is part of the Wall Street political ticket.
Since we brought Leonard Gates to speak at Bates College in 1995 to talk about the voter fraud he was committing for taxpayer funded FBI agents I have 0% confidence in our electoral process.

Excerpt from Nov 1996, Pandora’s
Black Box by
Philip M. O’Halloran of Relevance, The Cincinnati Election Wiretapping
Scandal:
Lewis and other skeptics of the
vote-fixing scenario like to insist that there has never been any evidence of a
“conspiracy” to fix elections by computer. But then, most of those we
interviewed on both sides of the issue had never heard of the case of Leonard
Gates of Cincinnati, Ohio. An employee of the Cincinnati Bell telephone company,
Gates was watching a local t.v. news story, in which a Cincinnati man named Jim
Condit was charging that the election system was vulnerable to vote fraud in the
Hamilton county election process.
He based his charges on his
experience as a candidate for city council in 1979, when, after an election
night computer crash, Condit and seven other “feisty challengers” had suddenly
“fallen to the very bottom of the heap” of 26 candidates. Gates called the
station and later contacted Mr. Condit, telling him he knew firsthand how his
votes were robbed. They met and shared information and ultimately Gates
testified in Condit’s Cincinnatus PAC (political action committee) lawsuit
against the Hamilton County Board of Elections.
The suit had earlier been
decided against the plaintiffs and Gates took the stand during the appeal. He
swore under oath that he was ordered by his Cincinnati Bell superiors to wiretap
the election headquarters’ phones lines to provide a link-up between the
county’s vote-counting computers and parties unknown on another phone line
somewhere in California.
Draft dodgers??? Do you mean LePage, Cheney, Reagan or, perhaps, your accusation is intended for Bill Clinton, only? I don’t know if you have been in combat, nor do I care, but desecrating enemy dead isn’t the way to win over the hearts and minds of civilians caught in the middle of a conflict that they can barely understand. Lots of young kids armed with M-16s manage to get through combat without desecrating bodies, raping women or killing civilians. I don’t know what unit you served with, but you’d be blackballed by any officer worth his/her rank. Your comments (and actions?) are one reason we lost the Vietnam War. Dulce et decorum est, pro patria mori.
You
assume too much. You just embarrassed yourself, you need to calm down
Reagan was drafted into the US Army but did not see combat. LePage had such a high draft number he would never had been drafted and it was not a crime to move to Canada although you had a draft number. These things are easy to research and find out.
Cheney had the right to get a college deferment, just as did Bill Clinton did.
Publicly skewering these servicemen is the problem. Disciplinary action should be taken by their immediate superiors after investigation. Lately, the media becomes judge and jury. These men have seen a lot and endured more than most think happens at war. After all, we are a country who forgot we were at war. Allow the military to do its job.
Do you work for Exxon Mobil?
He does… Dumps oil into the groung just for GP///
thanks for supporting my post.

Right on it, I promise..
thanks, and if you have time look at http://www.ae911truth.org where over 1,400 architects and engineers say the FBI and other US Government agencies created 911.
Totally agree.. Media. Can you imagine what happened in past wars… Now you have people sitting back on their couches judging these guys for peeing on some trash….Taliban…….Yes trash.
This is an issue as old as war itself. Japanese Officers beheading POWs. British General Burgoyne paying Indians for the scalps of Americans in the Saratoga Campaign of the Revolutionary War. Americans collecting ears of VC in Vietnam. A burned, severed head of a Japanese Marine being used as a tank ornament. Not to mention what the Waffen SS and troops of the USSR did to each other in WWII. Your comment is well made. It seems a little bit self righteous of anyone to judge someones actions in a situation they likely know nothing about or will ever have to experience.
If you say so
LOL
No really please do, the only reason you can say what you want to is becuase of them, even the ones who did the urinating. Im quite sure the Taliban would have no interest in letting you speak your mind.
ding ding ding, wrong again Sparky!
Democracy in the US is driven by taxpayer funded death squads like the FBI and local police.

Yep that’s what the folks said in NAZI Germany, let the military do its job so we can keep these serial killers employed.
Serial killers?

Our troops are serial killers?
Suspect in O.C. killings of homeless men is an Iraq war veteran
Former Marine Itzcoatl Ocampo, 23, of Yorba Linda appeared deeply troubled when he returned home and for a year had been telling relatives that he was seeing and hearing things, an uncle says.

A 23-year-old former Marine who some say was distraught after combat service in Iraq has been named a suspect in the serial killings of four homeless men in Orange County.

for the uneducated and the uneducable
high school dropout can’t find work so he joins the Marines to Semper Fi
and collect some money.
High school dropout is sent to Paris Island to be all he can be. He is trained to kill women and children and a occasional freedom fighter trying to protect his wife from being raped by Mr Semper Fi.
High school dropout ships out to invade Iraq for USEmpire and US oil companies.
American oil companies are struggling with the problem of Peak Oil.
Peak oil means we no longer have a infinite supply of oil.Maybe you saw the documentary film END OF SUBURBIA see
http://www.endofsuburbia.com/previews.htm
high school drop out didn’t because his high school teachers were too busy DUMBING him down
see
http://www.johntaylorgatto.com/bookstore/dumbdnblum1.htm
High School dropout manages to kill a couple hundred women and children while throwing in a occasional rape. Mr Sempi Fi has now been transformed into Mr serial killer.
Mr high school dropout/serial killer now begins to experience extreme depression from his actions. Mental Wealth workers call it Post Traumatic
Stress Syndrome. But the only people who experience traumatic stress in Iraq are the Iraqi women being raped by Semper Fi’s before they shot and killed them.
Good thing serial killer/high school dropout has never read the research
of Ian Stevenson MD whose groundbreaking study of 3,000 children who remember previous lives provides the science for the existence of reincarnation. see
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/1542356/Professor-Ian-Stevenson.html
What this means for high school dropout is that he will be coming back
again for another life . Of course so will the people he murdered , so for practical purposes he has another couple hundred lives he has to live getting “wacked” by the life forms he semper fi’d.
The difference this time is the raped and murdered have had some time to ponder while they wait for him to pass over, how they will “do” Mr Semper Fi- the high school drop out serial killer.
Mr high school dropout comes back from Iraq out of work unless he re-enlists. There are not to many job openings for serial killers until he lands a job working with his be all you can be buddies at the local police department or the FBI.
You may have made an error in interpretation or understanding of a complex problem. Perhaps a little more research would help.

Although I’m pasting the below comment as a post, it pretty much says it all. As a Vietnam veteran who has walked in the shoes of these Marines I can attest they have two equally dangerous enemies. The Afganistan Taliban and American political correctness. Libsux

When I was trained, we were taught to make the enemy dead before they could make you dead. Once the enemy was neurtalized, and no longer a threat to your outfit, move on to the next target, or hold your position. Once we neutralized a target, it became non-existent to us, or our territory.
Sounds about right

I know the images shown for some are vile, sacrilegious and degrading. However for those that have been in country and involved in a prolonged firefight lasting hours once over there tends to be extreme hostility towards those that were trying to end your life. This adrenaline let off sometimes leads the victors to exhibit behavior towards the enemy that those that have not been in such a situation would believe to be vile, sacrilegious and degrading. That is the reality of war. I personally would rather see my country’s armed forces pissing on the dead enemy than see them blindfolded with their hands tied behind their backs and having their heads cut off live on al jezerra television.
Why I’m Suing Barack Obama

By Chris Hedges
Attorneys Carl J. Mayer and Bruce I. Afran filed a complaint Friday in the Southern U.S. District Court in New York City on my behalf as a plaintiff against Barack Obama and Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta to challenge the legality of the Authorization for Use of Military Force as embedded in the latest version of the National Defense Authorization Act, signed by the president Dec. 31.
I find it funny that expressing my opinion about not caring what happens to Taliban corpses is enough to get me flagged. I cant express my opinion that they are scum and do despicable things?
