WINSLOW – Laurence “Larry” Kenneth Bushey, 59, husband of Anne Marie (Daigle) Bushey, died unexpectedly Jan. 13, 2012. He was born July 10, 1952, in Portland, the son of Norman and Elaine (Grindle) Bushey.

Larry graduated from Cheverus High School and the University of Southern Maine. He served proudly as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked many years as a driver license examiner for the state of Maine. He was employed as a mail delivery driver for Martin Carmichael.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Albert Sargent; his father, Norman L. Bushey; his son, Justin A. Bushey; his grandson, Kenneth J. Pooley; and his father-in-law, Bertrand W. Daigle. Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Anne Marie Bushey; his daughter, Erica Stewart and husband, Michael, of Albion, Morgan Bushey and Tim Rupenski of Waterville and Whitney Roy and husband, Jonathan, of Virginia Beach, Va.; his grandchildren, Abigail Snipe-Bushey, Ashtynn Stewart, Mikayla Pooley, Michael Stewart and Gabrielle Bushey; his mother, Elaine Bushey; sisters and husbands, Joyce and Richard Thompson, Joan and Paul Kiszely, Judy Maheux, and Susan and Jim Gallant; his mother-in-law, Annette Daigle; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Peter and Susan Daigle, and Claire and Martin Meyer; many nieces and a special nephew; and his best friend, Craig McCabe. His passion for life, his love and devotion to his family and friends, and his strong faith will be greatly missed.

Friends are invited to visit 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Wheeler Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Oakland, where a funeral service will held 1 p.m. Wednesday. Spring burial will be at Lewis Cemetery, Oakland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
