In New Hampshire, the temperature was minus 18 in Berlin and minus 14 in Whitefield.

And in Vermont, the temperature in Montpelier and St. Johnsbury was 15 below zero at 6 a.m.

  1. This is “News”? It’s Maine in the Winter time.
Next up, “It Rained in the Spring”, then, “Days get Longer & Hotter  in the Summer”.
    LOL !

      1. What about tourist/terrorist season? Not to mention campaign, hunting, fishing, and, my favorite, Bay Season(ing)!  Enjoy the cold, it keeps away Floridians.

        1. But Campaign season only comes every two years (for those things that really, really count- like the Gov .and the Pres.) and then they are “hunting” and “fishing” for votes. As for “Bay” I use it constantly!!!

      2. No it is eight months of winter….July 4th summer and than it is all down hill again….I flew into Virginia last week and it was a cool 19 degrees above…and they said on the news that it was frigid out side…oh yeah…T Shirt weather in Maine…not frigid…20 below is frigid….Lol…

    1. Let’s not forget the leaves falling off trees on windy days in the fall and the grass growing, so many articles on snow removal but lack a lot of grass cutting stories in the spring/summer months  Soon there will be a webcam “watching grass grow” once the webcam “watching snow melt in warm weather” is done.

    1. We’ll just pipe in some of the hot air from Congress.  All the Tea Party crowd yelling “No” all the time.  That should do the trick.

  2. Maine—-Winter—-Cold……. who can we blame for the obvious?  Since this didn’t seem to break any records, why waste ink or electrons.  Must be slow as Molasses in January at the news desk.  Go out and enjoy the fresh air.

    1. Really thankful they got this from the AP even and published this, I never would have thought after living in Maine all my life that cold weather can come during January, I was mad when I had to put my flip flops away (/sarcasm)
