ETNA – Dwight B. Lint, 63, slipped into heaven peacefully Jan. 14, 2012, at his residence. He was born Oct. 11, 1948, in Hartland, a son of Earl and Eliza (Kinney) Lint.
Dwight served as an Army honor guard at the Berlin Wall before volunteering in the Vietnam War. He earned two Purple Hearts, the Army Presidential Unit Award, the Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, the Legion of Merit Legionnaire Ribbon Bar, 3 Bronze Oak Leafs, the Citation for Heroism, as well as many more.
Dwight was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife, Mary; his dad, Earl; and a brother, Timmy. He is survived by his mother, Eliza Lint of Stetson; two sons, Wade and wife, Sandy Wheeler, and Danny Wheeler, all of Palmyra; two sisters, Brenda Clark of Stetson and Barbara and husband, Bernard Beaulier, of Portage; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many special nieces and nephews, including Morris “Randy” Randall of Stetson; and three special friends, Duane, Tom and Christy.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. David Ray Sr. officiating.
Spring burial with military honors will be at Coboro Cemetery, Stetson. A reception will be after the committal. Those who wish may leave written tributes at
