Move to Amend is asking people to sign a petition to amend the U.S. Constitution at the group’s website, www.MoveToAmend.org. The petition states:
We, the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United, and move to amend our Constitution to:
- Firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights.
- Guarantee the right to vote and to participate, and to have our votes and participation count.
- Protect local communities, their economies, and democracies against illegitimate “preemption” actions by global, national and state governments.

Would love to see this addition to the Constitution, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem likely. Money rules these days, especially after the real activist judges came down with these decisions.
Neither did giving women the right to vote seem likely. Or the end of segregation. Or civil marriages for gay and lesbian couples. But, they have happened. This too will happen because in time The People will demand it and the only way ‘they’ can keep their jobs is to have The People vote for them, because Walmart cannot vote…. only attempt to manipulate the vote. It is the manipulation that needs to be exposed so The People can see clearly.
Here are some more additions the libs want added to the constitution:
1. No one earning over $250K is allowed to speak unless they bow to a saudi king.
2. Babies under age 5 can still be aborted under late term abortion guarentee law.
3. Sharia law takes presidence over the constitution.
4. Welfare is a right not an entitlement.
5. The meeting of people to worship Jesus is strictly forbidden and punishable by death.
6. Corporations are guilty until proven innocent.
7. The word Obama will have the same definition as Allah.
Over the top, hyperbolic, …
An amendment like the one MTA is proposing is
crucial and completely necessary. However, with the current corporate bought
politicians sitting in congress and on state legislatures this will be next to
impossible. To pass an amendment of this nature we will need to elect
candidates that truly represent their constituents and not their corporate
masters. http://beyourgovernment.org/ provides a platform for post-partisan
pro99% candidates to run using social/free media, at no cost
I read once that the US is the only nation in the world that has not changed it’s Constitution however there are thousands of amendments that do and they are squeezing our ‘rights’ into obsecurity.
Someone explain to me what ‘living free’ really means…
‘living free’ really means being to do anything you want and not being criminally prosecuted for it because you are a corporation.
