CARMEL – Anne G. Crowley, 74, passed away Jan. 20, 2012, surrounded by her family members at her home after a brief illness. She was born Feb. 28, 1937, in Bangor, daughter of Gertrude and Frisby McLaughlin.

She was a lifetime member of Carmel Firemens Auxiliary and numerous other organizations.

Anne was predeceased by her husband, Edward; son, Allen; and brother, Robert. Surviving are her children, William, Evelyn, Tom, Cathy, Michael and Barbara; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; her sisters, Sally and Rose; several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Anne’s life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with Pastor Barbara Chodkowski, of Carmel Union Congregational Church, officiating.
