HOLDEN – Michelle Casey Stratton Ray, 27, slipped quietly into heaven Jan. 20, 2012, at her home. She was born Dec. 5, 1984, in Bangor, daughter of Robert E. and Elinor L. (Rogers) Stratton Jr.
Michelle was a 2003 graduate of Brewer High School and was known there for her participation with Skills USA and her involvement with the United Technologies Center. Michelle attended Eastern Maine Community College and worked as a residential service provider touching many hearts and lives.
In addition to her parents, Michelle is loved, remembered and survived by her husband, Kelly Forrest Ray; grandmother, Mavis Irene Gray; brother, Robert E. Stratton III and his daughter, Kalani; sister, Shauna M. Stratton-Meier and her husband, James, and their daughter, Jordan; sister, Leilani K. Stratton and her wife, Suzanne; parents-in-law, Danny A. and Laura A. Ray; brother-in-law, Benjamin H. Ray; sister-in-law, Jennifer G. Ray; best friend, Megan E. Day; many, many friends, aunt, uncles and cousins.
Michelle chose to visit with her loved ones while she was still alive and asked that a celebration of her life be held this summer at her family’s camp. Michelle and her family wish to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff at Eastern Maine Medical Center, the professionals at New Hope Hospice, and all of the family and friends that have given us support and relief during this trying time.
