HERMON – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Edward “Eddie” Wayne Turner, 28, who died Jan. 20, 2012, at his home in Bangor after a brief battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 6, 1983, in Bangor, the son of Yvonne (Bishop) and Edward Turner.

Eddie attended Hermon High School and was attending the University of Maine at Augusta at the Hutchinson Center, Belfast. He was a Union Iron worker with Local No. 7, and worked on many building projects throughout the state of Maine. In his spare time, Eddie loved working out, and had devoted much of his time preparing for an upcoming body building competition when he became ill. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors with his father and grandfather, camping, fishing and hunting. Additionally, Eddie loved practicing and teaching his sister how to play the guitar. He was also an avid drawer and writer of poetry, which he often shared with close family and friends. Eddie’s charm and sense of humor were cherished characteristics that will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
