EASTBROOK – Charles L. Yeo, 74, died Jan. 31, 2012, surrounded by family at his home. Charles was born June 7, 1937, in Millinocket, to Fred and Catherine (Fraser) Yeo.

Shibby will best be remembered for his 30-plus years of service to the town of Eastbrook. He will also be remembered for his woodcutting, blueberry harvesting, Christmas trees, etc. and participation in many organizations throughout the years.

Shibby is survived by his loving and patient wife of 53 years, Carolyn J. (Wallon) Yeo; son, Charles P. “Chuck” Yeo and his wife, Jackie; daughters, Elizabeth “Lydie” Yeo, Marie “Fifi” Lane and her husband, Jim, and Jody Yeo; nine grandchildren; brother, Ronald “Dougie” Yeo and his wife, Ginny; sister, Fredericka (Yeo) Forster and her husband, Steve; four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters.

Visiting hours are scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at the Ellsworth chapel of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes. A visiting hour will begin 11 a.m. with a funeral service scheduled to begin noon Saturday, Feb. 4, at the same location. Graveside committal and interment will be afterward at Sunnyside Cemetery, Eastbrook. Remembrance donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be left at
