HOLDEN – Sandra L. Faulkner, 62, wife of Philip M. Faulkner, died peacefully Feb. 2, 2012, surrounded by family and friends. She was born Jan. 22, 1950, in Bangor, the daughter of Everett and Geraldine (Hamel) Bennett.
Sandra, or Sandy as she was known, was a graduate of Hampden Academy, and worked for many years for Darlings and Carquest. She loved to shop with friends and visit Pat’s Pizza, Orono. Sandy was very talented at making crafts, card making and painting. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she worked hard to make it special for everyone each and every year. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and cherished time spent with them.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 41 years and her mother of Hampden, are two sons, Jeffrey Faulkner and his wife, Amy, and Kevin Faulkner and his wife, Cherie; four grandchildren, Maddie Sue, Morgan, Sam and Savannah Faulkner, all of Holden; one sister, Sue Bennett of Hermon; three brothers, Ron Bennett and his wife, Lori, of Wilmington, Ohio, Gary Bennett and his wife, Jan, of Hampden, and Michael Bennett and his wife, Jane, of Lakeview Plantation; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father. Sandy will be remembered by a special friend, Julie McDonald of Dedham.
Family and friends may visit 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. Burial will be in the spring at Harts Corner Cemetery, Holden. Condolences to Sandra’s family may be offered at
