OLD TOWN – Florence G. (Ewer) Honnell, 87, died Feb. 5, 2012, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 9, 1924, in Hudson, daughter of John E. and Agnes (Robbins) Ewer.
She worked at Byer Manufacturing for many years and Old Town Canoe Co. for 22 years. She enjoyed going to Marden’s and yard sales, as well as cooking and canning.
She is survived by her children, Sonny of Old Town, Bill and his wife, Carol, of Hudson, Patricia Paul and her husband, Joe, of Old Town, Bobby and his wife, Gloria, of Greenbush, Wanita Blass and her husband, John, of Corinth, Jimmy and his wife, Theda, of Greenbush and Reba Parson and her husband, Bob, of Old Town; grandchildren, Melissa Bemis of Levant, who lived with her grandmother for several years, Tony, Robin, Katie, Lisa, Joe Jr., Chasity, Peter, Mary, Amy, BJ, Jo, Ryan, Jacob, Nick and Jason; 20 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; friend, Mary Campbell; and her cat, Kitty Cat. She was predeceased by her husband, Grady; brothers, Joseph Ewer, John Ewer, Donald Ewer, Robert Ewer and Lawrence Ewer; and baby grandson, Francis K. Honnell. The family wishes to thank Gentiva Health for their wonderful care of Florence.
There will be a celebration of her life 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at her residence, 1055 West Old Town Road, Old Town.
