FORT KENT – Franklin J. Theriault, 60, died unexpectedly Feb. 3, 2012, at his home. He was born Dec. 26, 1952, in Fort Kent, the son of Delsie and Jeannette (Voisine) Theriault.
Frank “Caut Caut” as he was lovingly called by his brothers and sisters, worked for the state of Maine at the Agency Liquor Store for 20-plus years, first in Fort Kent, then in Madawaska and finally in Presque Isle, when he retired due to poor health. He was a member the fourth degree Knights of Columbus Council No. 0352 of Fort Kent. Franklin was a kind, gentle, soft-spoken man who loved his family. After his father’s death, Frank moved back home to help his mother take care of his two handicapped brothers. When his mother passed away, he continued to oversee the care of his two brothers, making sure they were well taken care of. He visited them faithfully and did everything he could to make their lives better. His passing leaves a big hole in the lives and hearts of many.
He is survived by three brothers, Laurel “Bo Peep” and his wife, Anita, of Portage Lake, Joel of Fort Kent and Dana of Eagle Lake; and three sisters, Jenny and her husband, Arnold Dubois, of Fort Kent, Janice and her husband, Bob Dionne, of Brewer and Lisa and her husband, Charles Michaud, of Baker Brook, New Brunswick. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind a special friend, Glenn Goslin. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by a sister, Brenda Michaud; and a brother, Carl Voisine.
A Mass of Christian burial with full fourth degree honors will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Those who wish may donate in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Envelopes will be available at the church.
