MARS HILL – Grant T. Lundeen, 62, passed away Feb. 3, 2012, at The Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Isle. He was born Aug. 1, 1949, in Fort Fairfield, the son of Lennart E. and Ruth B. (Smith) Lundeen .
Grant graduated from ACI High School, Mars Hill, and went on to a two-year course at the University of Maine,
Orono, and Cal-Poly Tech in California. He started driving semi-tractor trailer trucks in his early 20s and continued to drive for almost 40 years. He loved horses and was a showman in the ring bringing home many trophies from all over Maine, New England and Canada.
Grant is survived by a son, Justin Lundeen, his wife, Jessica, and a granddaughter, Samantha, all of Connecticut; a brother, Garth and sister-in-law, Jackie Lundeen, of Mars Hill; a special niece, Stephanie and her husband, Ward McLaughlin, of Mars Hill; a special nephew, Trent and his wife, Kelly Lundeen, of Mars Hill; great-nieces, Tiffany and her family Shawn and Laynee Johnston, and Brittany and Courtney Lundeen; and two great-nephews, Taylor and his wife, Michelle McLaughlin, and Logan McLaughlin. The family would like to give many thanks to the nurses and staff at the Aroostook Health Center for their care and support of Grant at such a difficult time.
A committal will be held in the spring at Pierce Cemetery, Mars Hill, with Pastor Sue Brown, of Mars Hill United Methodist Church, officiating.
