BELFAST, Maine — After getting into an argument with her boyfriend, a Belfast woman was arrested Sunday night and charged with domestic violence assault and criminal mischief.

Belfast Police Chief Mike McFadden said Monday that Shelly Salisbury, 33, allegedly physically assaulted her boyfriend, who had a bloody nose and scratches on his face. She also is alleged to have damaged household property.

Salisbury was taken to Waldo County Jail in Belfast and since has been released on $500 unsecured bail, according to a jail official.
