BANGOR, Maine — A local transient who has been told he is not allowed at the Freese’s Assisted Living facility in downtown Bangor was found Thursday night “passed out in the front doorway” there, police Lt. Steve Hunt said Friday.
David Bryant, 54, who was issued a prior criminal trespass warning, was arrested about 8 p.m. for criminal trespass when police found him on the senior living facility’s property, the lieutenant said.
Bryant also was arrested last summer after he was found passed out behind a trash receptacle on State Street, according to BDN archives.
He was taken to Penobscot County Jail and remained there Friday morning, a jail official said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)

Censorship is alive and well at BDN
there will be more of this if mainecare and Lepage keep cutting DHS
very true
i see you agree with me. it is sad but true. that guy was lucky he was found alive. if there is no funding chances are someone will be found dead. that will be on Lepages head
What does this have to do with Mainecare? I agree about not cutting the programs but I don’t see any connection. This man probably scared these elderly people and was possibly a danger to them.
i was refering to DHS and its many programs especially to the mentally ill are being cut as well obviously he came in from the cold had no where to go . have you heard of hypothermia. that general area there is no where to seak shelter all the way down to near the casino
This is scary for the elderly and those who live in gvmnt subsidized assisted living. Definately need more security near downtown areas. This guy may be homeless Sorry for that but he looks pretty healthy and may con some poor elderly vulnerable people out of $.
If he’s well enough to walk the streets – he could work somewhere.
