ACTON, Maine — A local man is behind bars Monday after police arrested him in connection with an assault at a Lebanon tavern last month.

Jason Mowry, 33, was arrested Feb. 10 and charged with aggravated assault, a Class B felony, York County Major William King said in a news release.

On Jan. 27, Gilbert Perez, 27, of Moody was arrested after allegedly beating another man unconscious at Trains Tavern in Lebanon. He posted $10,000 cash bail.

If convicted, Mowry faces up to 10 years in jail on the assault charge. He is currently at the York County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.

  1. Can’t just sit at the bar, enjoy your beer and let others do the same, huh? Figure you have the right to beat the hell out of somebody for some pointless reason? Enjoy jail, losers.

    1. LOL… Well, they probably wanted to buy the bar. Since they were able to post $10,000.00 and $50,000.00 CASH bail!

      1. Lotta of cash to have at one’s disposal. Drug money, perhaps? Oh wait….I best not speculate…will get a bunch of angry posts aimed at my insensitive comment. He probably had it saved up from his stockbroker position.

  2. Ya toss him in jail maybe some other people should be in jail to like the guys that killed Ralph Greenleaf oh wait the were special people.

  3. I’m at a loss – was he the main attacker or why is his bail so much higher?  Also, the other guy they took in was already on a wanted list – why is he even out??
