AUGUSTA, Maine — An Augusta man, his girlfriend and his sister have been indicted on more than 100 criminal charges in connection with a string of burglaries across central Maine.
Authorities say 25-year-old John Grotton faces 93 charges.
His girlfriend, 22-year-old Emily Allen-Perry of Jefferson, faces 46 charges.
Grotton’s sister, 23-year-old Kiley Grotton of Augusta, faces eight charges.
Grotton is scheduled to appear in Kennebec County Superior Court on Tuesday.
Police allege Grotton targeted private homes, stealing jewelry and electronics, which he either pawned or traded for drugs.
Police tell the Kennebec Journal his girlfriend served as his getaway driver.
The communities where the alleged offenses occurred include Augusta, Belgrade, Benton, Chelsea, China, Clinton, Gardiner, Hallowell, Manchester, Pittston, Readfield, Vassalboro, Waterville, Windsor and Winthrop.



“Maine – Open for Business”… sounds like he was running a profitable small business… A check should be made to see if he was paying all taxes, as required!

Sad that a homeowner didn’t catch them in the act and fill their faces with buckshot. A few closed-casket funerals might be just the trick to dissuade other such dangerous drug-addicted losers from terrorizing people’s property.
