SACO, Maine — A routine bail check led to a five-hour standoff and subsequent arrest of two men and one woman, police said Tuesday.
Police went to a house on Ferry Road just after 9:30 Monday night to execute a bail check on Christian Decker, 20, Saco Deputy Chief Jeffrey Holland said in a news release.
Decker is out on bail for two drug charges, according to the release. Holland has a long history of becoming combative or fleeing from police officers, so police took up positions in the rear and in front of the home, Decker said.
Officers saw Decker and two other occupants, Stormie Kehling, 21, of Saco and Damien Tilman, 21, of Biddeford in the house, the release said, and saw Decker “dividing and portioning an unknown type [of] substance into lines on a desk in the room.” The officers saw one of the men heating the substance on a spoon, producing a liquid and placing it into a syringe and injecting it into the body of another suspect, according to the release.
The suspects refused to open the door when the officers knocked and identified themselves, Holland said. The occupants drew the shades, turned off lights and moved furniture to barricade the door. “I will smoke them if they come in the door,” one of the males said, according to the release.
Police obtained warrants and search affidavits and a supervisor contacted Decker in an attempt to resolve the situation peacefully. After 90 minutes of negotiation, police forced entry into the home and arrested the three.
Decker was charged with conditions of release, creating a police standoff, unlawful possession of drugs and obstructing government administration. He was taken to the York County Jail.
Kehling is facing charges of creating a police standoff, obstructing government administration and falsifying evidence. She was unable to post $250 bail and remains in the York County Jail.
Tilman was charged with falsifying evidence, obstructing government administration and creating a police standoff. He posted $500 bail, was processed at the Saco police station and released.

This whole story reeks! I think some good old fashion Police brutality stories in the news might make some of these social misfits start toeing the line.

We sure waste a lot of tax dollars on these babysitting details. I don’t care what these punks are doing. Let them kill themselves if they want; it’s a free country.
All that time and effort and taxpayers dollars only to put them back out on bail that between them doesn’t add up to a thousand dollars. The police must get so aggravated with our court system. Put their life on the line – for what. Hats off to those men and women that continue to do their job even though the satisfaction is sometimes not the case
