It’s that time of year again: tourney time.
The regional high school basketball tournaments begin Friday. Games will be held in Bangor, Augusta and Portland.
What are your favorite tournament memories as a player, coach, referee or fan?
Any games or performances that stick out? What do you enjoy most about the tournament?

The Cony vs Lawrence EM game in Bangor. The loudest crowd I have ever experienced and the best player this state has ever seen.
While the basketball is always outstanding, I’ve always enjoyed watching the student sections go back and forth with creative chants over the years. One that sticks out was a “We’ve got Jesus” by Cheverus, and Bangor responded with “We’ve got girls” in 2003.
The 1971 Schenck Class B team was one of the best tourney teams ever, regardless of class. They blew through all competition with ease, including some of the best A team in Xmas tournaments and exhibition games. Mark Rosebush and Mike Paoletti took 2 of the 15 All-State Team honors.
