HOULTON – Laura Madolyn Vincent, 93, died Feb. 19, 2012, at a local health care facility. She was born Jan. 25, 1919, in Guilford, daughter of Manson and Maude (Maseruy) Prescott.

Madolyn was a member of Houlton First Baptist Church and was a teacher at Ricker Classical Institute until it became Ricker College. She continued to teach at Central Aroostook High School until her retirement in 1986. Madolyn was a member of Maine Teachers Association and National Teachers Association. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband, John and the Pomanders.

Madolyn is survived by two sons, Ross Vincent and his wife, Rose, of Austin, Texas, and Lawrence Vincent of Houlton; foster daughter, Greta Madore and her husband, Bud, of Utica, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Kellan Rogers Vincent, Aaron John “AJ” Vincent, Erin Jayne Vincent, Michelle and Rene’; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Hichborn and Lois Russell, both of Florida; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John A. Vincent Jr., in 2008.
