PATTEN, Maine — No details were released Tuesday after a dead body was reported to Maine State Police that morning, but state police Detective Mark Sperrey said he expects more information to be released Wednesday.
The body was reported to police around 9:30 a.m., according to the Penobscot Regional Communications Center incident report.

Why report on no news?
It gives the reporter breaking news advantage. Sambides does it all the time to mark his territory. By the time the facts come together people have gotten what is referred to as “poor journalism at its best” …… Sorry for this family’s loss.
What would you rather have him do? Make stuff up? The story is ongoing and more details are forthcoming. Give him a break. Why comment t all?
@clifformc My comment stems from the BDN choosing to have the reporters in the Region focus on only negative sensational stories and reporting. There are a number of good, positives things happening in the Region including this past weekend’s Winterfest actvities but no coverage of the events. Until folks demand better journalism it will never happen.
How about have some compasion for the family, that would be a nice change. It was a 7 month old baby, doom and gloom reporting at its finest. The ole bait and switch if you will. Im sure the parents of the child just loved reading how a ” Dead body was found” -Ignorance-
because they are low budget and have no other matierial.
I have to agree………….this was USELESS reading and this reporter should find a new job!!
I’d demand my money back if I was you.
How’d this even get in paper????????????
Are they certain the “body” was dead?
No up dates yet, slower then fast food
BDN should remove this article immediately. Seems it was a baby.
Why comment on nothing?
