EDDINGTON – James Francis Luetjen Jr., 77, died Feb. 24, 2012, at his home, from complications of Parkinson’s disease. He was born Oct. 2, 1934, in Hartford, Conn., son of the late James F. Luetjen Sr. and Lena (Patton) Luetjen.
James was the former owner of Imported Auto Parts of Maine, Inc. and served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Marion (Fichtner) Luetjen; a son, Allan J. Luetjen of Hampden; two daughters, Anne Deschaine and her husband, Ricky, of Clifton and Cathy Hughes and her husband, David, of Clifton; a brother, David Luetjen and his wife, Doris, of Hebron, Conn.; a sister, Mary Ellen Casparino of Port Charlotte, Fla.; brother-in-law, Allan Fichtner and his wife, Patricia, of Fort Myers, Fla.; special friend, Jeanne Luetjen of Hampden; seven granddaughters who made him very proud, Brittany and Brianna Luetjen of Hampden, Amy, Amanda and Jolene Hughes of Clifton, Carole and Bethany Deschaine of Clifton; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by a grandson, James Deschaine; and a brother-in-law, Nicholas Casparino Jr.
Friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Brookings-Smith Brewer Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, with the Rev. Dr. Rex H. Garrett, director of chaplaincy services at Eastern Maine Medical Center, officiating. After the services relatives and friends are invited to share conversation and refreshments at the Reception Rooms of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer. Interment will be held in the spring at Meadowbrook Cemetery, Eddington.
